One thing I have learned form experiance is when you tred across the line into black hat seo and Google finds out there is no going back. I have tried to get sites back onto the good side of Google, but they are usually rejected so I just wanted to give a warning when marketing stay on the good side of Google (no link farms, trickey seo, mass link building, ect)

The one black hat seo technique I see often is the automated forum and blog posting. Most of the time it's for pharmaceutical companies. One of the programs I've seen a few times is xrumer. Basically you give the program certain keywords to look for and it will scrape blogs and forums for those words. When it finds them, it will attempt to writer a comment or post that you have written ahead of time which also includes you backlink and anchor text. Most times they say "Great article. Thanks for posting." Or something similar. Google knows better when it runs into these automated posts.

You are right Vega google does know better and will look down on the links. What really sucks is it also makes the website look a bit spammy if the comments are not moderated. There are tons of great tools available which allow forum owners and blogger the ability to weed out such automated programs (captcha i think it is called). Anyway good post.

They are like knives: You can slice bread with a knife but you can kill with it as well. It’s your decision how you use the knife. Also consider the problem with overall perception of the SEO industry. Your hat can be whiter than snow and still people will treat you as the guy with the virtual knife. _____________________________________ "Want to get-on Google's first page in 48 hours and flood your site with traffic? So, what's going on? Well, some webmasters who learned search engine optimization back in 2000, mistakenly think that they are still SEO experts even though they haven't updated their skills since Google emerged as the leading search engine from 2001 to 2002. _________________________________________________________________ Want to get-on Google's first page in 48 hours and flood your site with traffic? With nearly 14 billion online searches every month and social media sites that rival populations of large countries, there’s unlimited opportunity. But to take advantage of that opportunity, it is vital to rank high in the search engines, to leverage social media and pay per click advertising, and to make sure your website turns visitors into leads and sales. If you don’t understand how to successfully apply these strategies, then your customers will go to your competitors instead. _______________________________________________________ Want to get-on Google's first page and loads of traffic to your website? SEO is an acronym for "search engine optimization" or "search engine optimizer." Deciding to hire an SEO is a big decision that can potentially improve your site and save time, but you can also risk damage to your site and reputation. ______________________________________________________________ Want to get-on Google's first page and loads of traffic to your website? As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic. ________________________________________________ Want to get-on Google's first page and loads of traffic to your website? White hat advice is generally summed up as creating content for users, not for search engines, and then making that content easily accessible to the spiders, rather than attempting to game the algorithm. White hat SEO is in many ways similar to web development that promotes accessibility. ____________________________________________________________ Want to get-on Google's first page and loads of traffic to your website?
